Florida Hospital for Children and Florida Hospital Medical Group are looking for dynamic and energetic pediatric hospitalists to join our team.  This inpatient only position would be located at Florida Hospital’s newly acquired hospital in Ocala:  Munroe Regional Medical Center.

Location: Altamonte Springs, FL - Specialty: Pediatric, Neonatology

We are looking for a dynamic, innovative, and energetic neonatologist as we expand our group at the Level 2 NICU at AdventHealth Altamonte Springs, formerly Florida Hospital Altamonte – approximately 10 miles north of downtown Orlando, Florida.  This physician would work with one other Neonatologist, in a new 10 bed level 2 NICU.  Altamonte has approximately 2,500 deliveries per year. These physicians will be supported by the quaternary care NICU at AdventHealth for Children, with a seamless transport process for infants that need a higher level of care.

You would be part of a larger group of neonatologists that are part of AdventHealth for Children Orlando, formerly Florida Hospital for Children. Our regional network includes a delivery volume of approximately 15,000 births per year. We have a dedicated Neonatal transport team and are supported by experienced Pediatric Subspecialists.

The new physician joining the group should be board certified in pediatrics and board certified/eligible through the Sub-Board of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.

The Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children (FHFC) and Florida Hospital Medical Group (FHMG) are looking for a dynamic and team-oriented Pediatric Epileptologist to join our Level IV Comprehensive Pediatric Epilepsy Program led by Dr. Ki Hyeong Lee and Dr. James Baumgartner. (website).  Diagnostic facility includes a state-of-art 3T intra-operative MRIs, PET, SPECT, and MEG center.  We have acquired both Monteris Laser Ablation system and ROSA Stereo EEG system.  

The physician would work in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team including pharmacology, psychology, pediatric neurology, pediatric radiology and pediatric neurosurgery. In addition to the clinical team, 3 PhD researchers are embedded in the team to engage in epilepsy-neuroscience research. Michael Keating and Pablo Gomez and continue to develop our outstanding program in Orlando, Florida.  We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic team player who is interested in seeing all types of cases and patients.  Our unparalleled network of 27 hospitals in the state with one children’s hospital at the center provides an excellent opportunity for practice growth and professional development. 

Responsibilities of the new physician leader will include:  growing into high volume outpatient clinics with a wide variety of patients from age 0 – 18, outreach clinics (currently providing care in three locations) and inpatient coverage in equal rotation with other group members. The Spine Health Institute is looking for a dynamic and team-oriented Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician to join our established destination program.  This position is for a PM&R trained physician to help build and grow the practice in new markets around the Orlando area.  This opportunity is focused on growing our satellite offices, all within a 15-30 minute drive from our main office located in Altamonte Springs, Florida.   The new physician will have the ability to shape his/her practice based on subspecialty interests.

Neuropsychology at Winter Park - Clinical Psychologist

AdventHealth Medical Group Neuropsychology at Winter Park

AdventHealth Medical Group Neuropsychology at Winter Park is seeking to hire a Clinical Neuropsychologist to provide comprehensive neuropsychological services to our diverse life span patient population.

We are seeking a fellowship trained, board certified clinical neuropsychologist with experience in assessment and treatment of cognitive, academic and behavioral problems among children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics with a variety of neurodevelopmental, medical, and neurological conditions.

Typical referrals include: Medical and neurological conditions such as TBI, concussion, brain tumor, seizure disorder, and neurogenetic conditions also are seen.  

The provider will also see some:  ADHD, learning disability, developmental delays, and neuro-behavioral disorders with anxiety, depression, and other co-morbid psychosocial, behavioral and psychiatric concerns.

This position is primarily clinical and heavily assessment focused; however, delivery of psychotherapy and treatment is also expected (approximately 10-20%) primarily in following patients initially seen for neuropsychological evaluation.

There are ample opportunities for supervision of graduate students and post-doctoral fellows, and participation in didactic seminars.

The possibility of conducting research is also available.

The successful candidate will join a growing network of neuropsychologists at AdventHealth, and will work within a broader multidisciplinary hospital setting. We receive a wide range of referrals from well-established relationships with physicians within our hospital organization and the Central Florida community to provide comprehensive services including assessment, parent and family consultation and education, and interventions for patients.

We also work closely with the AdventHealth Medical Group Sports Concussion at Winter Park and local high school athletic programs, performing brief and comprehensive assessments, concussion management, and education regarding return to play.

  • Candidates must hold a doctorate in Clinical Neuropsychology or Clinical Psychology with a neuropsychology track from an accredited (APA or CPA) university and be licensed or license-eligible in Florida.
  • The candidate must also have completed a 2-year post-doctoral residency in Neuropsychology and be eligible for board certification in neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). 
  • Bilingual (Spanish preferred) candidates are especially encouraged to apply.

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care

AdventHealth Orlando, formerly Florida Hospital, is establishing an Advanced Lung Disease Institute and is looking for a dynamic and experienced leader to help develop our subspecialty programs.   The new medical director would have the ability to focus clinically on his/her area of expertise (ILD, lung transplant, COPD, CF, PH or CTEPH) while shaping various facets of the program. 

Responsibilities would include the following: leading the clinical quality for ALD care including quality metrics and quality assurance teams; active participation in regional, national, and international ALD meetings and conferences; education of residents and staff; community outreach; and program development.  The medical director would also be involved with building a core team of physicians working to improve the breadth and intensity of ALD services within our system of nine Central Florida hospital locations and eventually within our statewide hospitals.  Long term, we are also looking for leadership development for fellowship programs in Pulmonary and ALD. 

We are making major investments in our lung and heart failure programs, with 16 lung transplants completed in 2018, along with the highest thoracic transplant rates and the shortest wait times in the country.  We also performed 55 heart transplants and 68 VAD’s in 2018 with over 125 ECMO deployments.  Our program goals are to reach 80-100 lung transplants per year and approximately 200+ durable heart replacements.   We also have an active CTEPH program and pulmonary thrombo endartectomy program with approximately 8 performed in 2018. 

Overall dedicated time to the administrative portion of this role will fall between 20-40% depending on the needs of the program. 

Requirements for ALD Medical Director:

  • Fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
  • Board certification through ABMS or AOA in Pulmonology
  • Ideal candidate would have at least five years of experience post fellowship and demonstrated experience in a leadership role within an associated ALD program
  • Demonstrated excellence in clinical research
