Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Pediatric, Critical Care / Intensivist

The Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children is seeking a Pediatric Intensivist with strong CICU skills, training and/or experience to focus their clinical experience and expertise in the Cardiac ICU and Pediatric ICU. This physician will be part of our larger pediatric intensive care group at Florida Hospital for Children which consists of approximately eight physicians and four advanced practice providers. 

Responsibilities of the new physician will include:  clinical time in our CICU (10 beds) with a smaller amount of clinical time in the Med/Surg ICU (22 beds).  Physician would also participate in the provision of the sedation services, as the Peds ICU group provides sedation.   We have an active Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) Program, a pediatric residency program (just launched in 2013) with 6 residents per year and clinical research opportunities.

The Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children is looking for a Pediatric Endocrinologist to join our outstanding program in Orlando, Florida.  

Responsibilities of the new physician will include:  high volume outpatient clinics with a wide variety of patients from age 0 – 18, outreach clinics (currently providing care in three locations) and inpatient coverage in equal rotation with other group members. It is also possible to develop a subspecialty niche depending on physician’s interest, and an interest in metabolic diseases is desirable but not essential.  The Pediatric Endocrinology program has a dedicated area for hormone testing and we offer the full spectrum of dynamic hormonal testing and infusions. We have a large diabetes program with staffing for two nurse CDEs and two dietitian CDEs.  We also have a social worker.

Florida Hospital for Children is seeking a dynamic and hardworking Palliative Medicine physician to join our team within our system in Orlando. Florida Hospital has a growing physician-led program that will give you the opportunity to work with our existing palliative care team.  We direct inpatient consultation services at a tertiary hospital  with plans to roll-out outpatient clinics. This position comes with opportunities for mentorship, teaching, working with team-based faculty, and development of a Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship. This program emphasizes patient and family-centered care and collaboration with a team of physicians from every specialty. There is an opportunity to work with pediatric residents and palliative medicine fellows.

Physical Medicine and Rehab
Winter Park, FL

Location: Winter Park, FL - Specialty: Physical Medicine and Rehab

Florida Hospital is searching for a dynamic, hard-working, board certified (or board eligible) physiatrist interested in a hospitalist/inpatient practice model. This physician will help cover our CARF accredited units (currently 30 beds) at Florida Hospital Orlando and Winter Park Memorial Hospital.  In late 2019, we will move to a brand new, dedicated unit at Winter Park Memorial Hospital, with eventual capacity of 60 beds.  Our units currently hold specialty certifications in Stroke and Brain Injury. The new physician will work alongside three other physicians as we expand our team even further in the upcoming years.  Patient mix includes majority of cases in stroke and brain injury as well as some ortho and spinal cord injuries.

Work with our existing, highly experienced physiatrists and a terrific support team of neuropsychologists, therapists, skilled nurses, dietitians. A full range of medical and surgical specialists also provide care for our patients on this unit. The new physician will also share in acute care consults with our other PM&R physicians during the day in addition to coverage in the rehabilitation units.

Physical Medicine and Rehab, Pain Management
Altamonte Springs, FL

The Spine Health Institute is looking for a dynamic and team-oriented Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician to join our established destination program.  This position is for a fellowship-trained pain medicine physician to help build and grow the practice in new markets around the Orlando area.  This opportunity would have a primary location at the brand new, state of the art, Florida Hospital Apopka (website), with a presence at a satellite location depending on needs and growth of the program.  The new physician will have the ability to shape his/her practice based on subspecialty interests. 

With the leadership of the medical director, Dr. Chetan Patel, this physician will have the opportunity to provide the best care and treatment options for patients with neck and back pain.  We have full multidisciplinary services at the Spine Health Institute that include rehab and sports medicine, wellness, psychology, pain medicine, procedures, and outcomes based research.  The position would be based predominantly in an outpatient setting for patient consultations and injections.  An ideal candidate would be able to perform EMG’s. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.

Physicians with an academic interest would find this position appealing as Dr. Patel is actively engaged in multiple FDA and European clinical trials and continues to serve as a faculty member for multiple spine societies.  He is a Robotics and Navigation Section chairman for the North American Society.  At the Spine Health Institute, he has helped establish a comprehensive research database on operative and non-operative treatment of spine patients with the goal of reporting outcomes based on evidence based spinal treatment and refining clinical algorithms.   The new physician would have the opportunity to teach, participate in our research database and author multiple publications. 

Our philosophy is to offer a fully coordinated, comprehensive whole-person approach to neck and back pain, including advanced diagnostic services as well as non-surgical care options, interventional and surgical treatments. 

Requirements of the position include: 

  • ACGME fellowship training in Pain Medicine.

Location: Winter Park, FL - Specialty: Psychologist

We are seeking a fellowship trained, board certified clinical neuropsychologist with experience in assessment and treatment of cognitive, academic and behavioral problems among children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics with a variety of neurodevelopmental, medical, and neurological conditions.

Typical referrals include: Medical and neurological conditions such as TBI, concussion, brain tumor, seizure disorder, and neurogenetic conditions also are seen.  The provider will also see some:  ADHD, learning disability, developmental delays, and neuro-behavioral disorders with anxiety, depression, and other co-morbid psychosocial, behavioral and psychiatric concerns. This position is primarily clinical and heavily assessment focused; however, delivery of psychotherapy and treatment is also expected (approximately 10-20%) primarily in following patients initially seen for neuropsychological evaluation. There are ample opportunities for supervision of graduate students and post-doctoral fellows, and participation in didactic seminars. The possibility of conducting research is also available. 

The successful candidate will join a growing network of neuropsychologists at Florida Hospital, and will work within a broader multidisciplinary hospital setting. We receive a wide range of referrals from well-established relationships with physicians within our hospital organization and the Central Florida community to provide comprehensive services including assessment, parent and family consultation and education, and interventions for patients. We also work closely with the Florida Hospital Sports Concussion Program and local high school athletic programs, performing brief and comprehensive assessments, concussion management, and education regarding return to play.

Candidates must hold a doctorate in Clinical Neuropsychology or Clinical Psychology with a neuropsychology track from an accredited (APA or CPA) university and be licensed or license-eligible in Florida. The candidate must also have completed a 2-year post-doctoral residency in Neuropsychology and be eligible for board certification in neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP).  Bilingual (Spanish preferred) candidates are especially encouraged to apply.

Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care

Florida Hospital is establishing an Advanced Lung Disease Institute and is looking for a dynamic and experienced leader to help develop our subspecialty programs.   The new medical director would have the ability to focus clinically on his/her area of expertise (ILD, lung transplant, COPD, CF, PH or CTEPH) while shaping various facets of the program. 

Responsibilities would include the following: leading the clinical quality for ALD care including quality metrics and quality assurance teams; active participation in regional, national, and international ALD meetings and conferences; education of residents and staff; community outreach; and program development.  The medical director would also be involved with building a core team of physicians working to improve the breadth and intensity of ALD services within our system of nine Central Florida hospital locations and eventually within our statewide hospitals.  Long term, we are also looking for leadership development for fellowship programs in Pulmonary and ALD. 

We are making major investments in our lung and heart failure programs, with 20 lung transplants completed in 2017, along with the highest thoracic transplant rates and the shortest wait times in the country.  We also performed 60 heart transplants and 60 VAD’s in 2017 with over 100 ECMO deployments.  Our program goals are to reach 80-100 lung transplants per year and approximately 200+ durable heart replacements.   We also have an active CTEPH program and pulmonary thrombo endartectomy program with approximately 20 performed in 2017. 

Overall dedicated time to the administrative portion of this role will fall between 20-40% depending on the needs of the program. 

Requirements for ALD Medical Director:

  • Fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
  • Board certification through ABMS or AOA in Pulmonology
  • Ideal candidate would have at least five years of experience post fellowship and demonstrated experience in a leadership role within an associated ALD program
  • Demonstrated excellence in clinical research

Florida Hospital Medical Group (FHMG) is looking for a dynamic and team-oriented physician to join our group within the East Florida Division of Radiation Oncology Specialists, which encompasses 17 radiation oncologists over 12 different locations across the state.  The new physician would provide radiation services among several of the Florida Hospital sites and serve the following locations throughout Volusia and Flagler Counties:
