Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Palliative Medicine

Florida Hospital is seeking dynamic and hardworking Palliative Medicine physicians to join our team within our system in Orlando. Florida Hospital has a growing physician-led program that will give you the opportunity to work with our existing palliative care team.  We direct inpatient consultation services at a tertiary hospital with a dedicated inpatient unit, with plans to roll-out outpatient clinics. This position comes with opportunities for mentorship, scholarship, working with team-based faculty, and a palliative fellowship. Team members include dedicated advanced practitioners, chaplains, child-life specialists, a pharmacist and case-managers. You will provide inpatient palliative consultation services to patients in a hospital setting. In addition, you will hold family meetings to discuss and clarify goals of care, as well as provide guidance and oversee symptom management in the inpatient and ambulatory setting.  This program emphasizes patient and family-centered care and collaboration with a team of physicians from every specialty. There is an opportunity to work with residents and fellows.

Our current needs are at Florida Hospital East Orlando and an additional physician for Florida Hospital Celebration Health and Florida Hospital Kissimmee. At these locations, bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required.

Requirements of the position include: 

  • Successful candidates will have strong clinical skills necessary to join our growing program.

  • Board Certification/Eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Medicine along with active board certification through one of the co-sponsoring boards.

The Pediatric and Congenital Heart Program at Florida Hospital for Children (FHFC) and Florida Hospital Medical Group (FHMG) are looking for a dynamic and team-oriented non-invasive Pediatric Cardiologist to be part of their growing program.  The ideal candidate would have training and background in fetal and transesophageal echocardiography and be willing to perform both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.   The candidate must be board certified or eligible in Pediatric Cardiology.

The Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children is seeking a Pediatric Intensivist with strong CICU skills, training and/or experience to focus their clinical experience and expertise in the Cardiac ICU and Pediatric ICU. This physician will be part of our larger pediatric intensive care group at Florida Hospital for Children which consists of approximately eight physicians and four advanced practice providers. 

Responsibilities of the new physician will include:  clinical time in our CICU (10 beds) with a smaller amount of clinical time in the Med/Surg ICU (22 beds).  Physician would also participate in the provision of the sedation services, as the Peds ICU group provides sedation.   We have an active Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) Program, a pediatric residency program (just launched in 2013) with 6 residents per year and clinical research opportunities.

The Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children is looking for a Pediatric Endocrinologist to join our outstanding program in Orlando, Florida.  

Responsibilities of the new physician will include:  high volume outpatient clinics with a wide variety of patients from age 0 – 18, outreach clinics (currently providing care in three locations) and inpatient coverage in equal rotation with other group members. It is also possible to develop a subspecialty niche depending on physician’s interest, and an interest in metabolic diseases is desirable but not essential.  The Pediatric Endocrinology program has a dedicated area for hormone testing and we offer the full spectrum of dynamic hormonal testing and infusions. We have a large diabetes program with staffing for two nurse CDEs and two dietitian CDEs.  We also have a social worker.

The ideal candidate will be/have:

  • Prefer at least 3-5 years’ experience in all aspects of Pediatric care (newborn through age 18)

The Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children (FHFC) and Florida Hospital Medical Group (FHMG) are looking for a dynamic and team-oriented Pediatric Epileptologist to join our Level IV Comprehensive Pediatric Epilepsy Program led by Dr. Ki Hyeong Lee and Dr. James Baumgartner. (website).  Diagnostic facility includes a state-of-art 3T intra-operative MRIs, PET, SPECT, and MEG center.  We have acquired both Monteris Laser Ablation system and ROSA Stereo EEG system.  

The physician would work in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team including pharmacology, psychology, pediatric neurology, pediatric radiology and pediatric neurosurgery. In addition to the clinical team, 3 PhD researchers are embedded in the team to engage in epilepsy-neuroscience research. Our goal is to become a nationally leading pediatric epilepsy center that is research based, data driven and led by experts.
