Florida Hospital Medical Group is looking for a fellowship trained hematology/oncology specialist to join Cancer Institute of Florida’s (website) practice at Florida Hospital Winter Garden and Florida Hospital Apopka. The ideal candidate will have experience in both the inpatient and outpatient settings seeing a variety of oncology patients.   Rotation of call would include both inpatient and outpatient in equal share with the other physicians. 

The Florida Hospital Cancer Institute is a comprehensive program offering medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, pediatric oncology, neuro-oncology, Gyn oncology, bone marrow transplant as well as research, and has a presence at all nine of our Central Florida hospital locations.  For more information visit (website).

Florida Hospital at Winter Park Memorial Hospital in Orlando, Florida is looking for a dynamic, hardworking Family or Internal Medicine trained physician to lead our four hospitalist teams.  Physician will join an existing inpatient practice affiliated with the Allopathic Family Medicine residency.  The physician will work as a full hospitalist with leadership efforts built into the position.  Some leadership responsibilities will occur during the off week from duty.  Salary will reflect additional duties.

Physician duties will include independent rounding on a 7 on/7 off schedule.  No night shifts or call required as cross coverage will be provided by ARNP nocturnists. A strong emphasis will be placed on evidence based medicine with a concentration on patient centered care. Ideal candidate would have experience in hospitalist medicine, strong communication skills, and fit within the mission and vision of Florida Hospital. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred, but not necessary.

Florida Hospital Waterman in Tavares, Florida is looking for dynamic Internal Medicine or Family Medicine trained physicians for a full-time Nocturnist position. Physician will join an established inpatient practice affiliated with Florida Hospital Medical Group. Interested candidates must be devoted to providing quality, compassionate and patient focused care in a mission driven environment backed by one of Lake County’s largest health care providers.   • 7 on/7 off work schedule, 7PM-7AM

Florida Hospital Graduate Medical Education Department is seeking a dynamic Assistant Program Director to join our core faculty team within the Internal Medicine Residency Program established in 2009. 

The Internal Medicine Residency contains 14 positions per year with 2 designated positions concentrated towards a primary care track.  The Internal Medicine Residency is fully ACGME accredited.  The program is free-standing, but is affiliated with Florida State University College of Medicine and Loma Linda University College of Medicine.  The current core program faculty consists of 9 fulltime FTEs, which includes 2 subspecialists. 

Qualified candidates will possess a significant background in clinical care and clinical teaching.  Research experience with a published record is preferred.  Candidates may be generalists or subspecialists but must be able to provide skillful teaching and clinical care in general internal medicine wards and clinics.  The physician’s duties will include clinical teaching in an outpatient and inpatient setting as well as seeing private patients and developing research projects in conjunction with residents and other faculty.  Possession of a Florida medical license preferred. 

The position will be available beginning July 2018.

Florida Hospital Waterman in Tavares, FL is seeking a dynamic and energetic, board certified Internal Medicine physician to join an existing practice in Lake County.

Our goal is to complement and expand upon Florida Hospital Medical Group's Primary Care physician base in the Lake County area. You would have the opportunity to focus on outpatient care only or incorporate inpatient care if desired. You will also collaborate with the system's highly-regarded specialists to maintain a preeminent Primary Care service for the Florida Hospital Waterman community.

Ideal candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills as marketing and media opportunities are required for these positions. EMR is currently being implemented in the outpatient practices.

Florida Hospital is looking for a dynamic, charismatic, and experienced physician (M.D. or M.D./Ph.D) to lead our research enterprise for the Florida Hospital Neuroscience Institute (NSI) – (website). The Scientific Director will have the opportunity to organize and lead our faculty and community physicians to a higher level of excellence and a greater involvement in Investigator Initiated trials.

The Director would have the chance to help set the NSI strategic research direction, develop his/her individual research, and help to mentor other physicians/scientists towards a more impactful research program. There is also the opportunity to continue relevant clinical work in our outpatient neurology clinic approximately one day per week. The Neuroscience Institute is based in Orlando, Florida at our large tertiary facility of approximately 1100 beds. Florida Hospital Medical Group is looking for two dynamic neurologists to help start our program as part of our West Orange strategy of Florida Hospital.  This is an employment opportunity with a focus on outpatient neurology to help develop a new practice between the locations of Florida Hospital Winter Garden and Florida Hospital Apopka (new hospital location with construction completed in 2017).  Ideal physicians should have a primary interest/experience in an outpatient practice setting and be proficient in EMG’s.  Additional subspecialty interests will certainly be considered.

Florida Hospital for Women in Orlando, Florida and Loch Haven OB/GYN are looking for a dynamic and experienced, board-certified or board-eligible OB/GYN physician to immediately join a team in launching the expansion of this nationally-recognized practice which operates on a high acuity case mix with a focus on normal and high risk pregnancies and minimally invasive surgery. Loch Haven OB/GYN is an extremely dynamic practice.  We care for both low- and high-risk pregnancies, patients with a large variety of gynecologic issues, and those requiring advanced minimally invasive surgery.  This seven physician employed group is looking for a dedicated physician with a strong work ethic to join the team.  Our team has a strong focus on providing safe, efficient, cost-effective care to patients in an environment of mutual respect and collaboration.  Loch Haven was the first Ob/Gyn practice in the United States to receive formal certification from the ACOG “SCOPE” office safety program!  Our physicians and midwives commonly receive extremely high patient satisfaction survey scores. 

The physician will take call with the other physicians and provide back-up coverage for our midwifery team. Our patient mix allows our team to provide personable, state-of-the-art obstetric care, including routine pregnancy, high risk conditions, external cephalic versions, cesarean delivery, and cesarean hysterectomy.  Our team also sees many interesting gynecologic patients and has a busy surgical referral practice.  In contrast to national statistics, in our practice approximately 90% of hysterectomies are completed either vaginally or laparoscopically.  Although not a requirement for employment, our team has access to the Da Vinci robot if desired.  We have published in prestigious journals and serve as journal reviewers.  There is the opportunity for research and research mentoring if desired.   We often have medical students rotating through our private practice and teach primary care resident physicians in the hospital.  Applicants should be interested in being highly effective medical educators.
