Location: Orlando, FL - Specialty: Cardiology, General

Florida Hospital Medical Group is looking for a dynamic and energetic cardiology leader to develop a comprehensive cardiology group at Florida Hospital East Orlando (https://www.floridahospital.com/east-orlando).  This is a clinical and practice leadership position to help grow a new market in East Orlando in association with three other physicians.  As the Medical Director of Cardiology Services at Florida Hospital East Orlando, the first initiative will be to work with our core cardiologists at East Orlando on growth strategies, quality metrics, outcomes, community education and marketing, and other patient experience initiatives.  Approximate administrative time is 10 hours/week. 

Responsibilities will also include call coverage at the East Orlando hospital facility in rotation with practice partners and other community cardiology physicians.

Requirements for the positionBoard Certification in Internal Medicine with subspecialty board certification in Cardiovascular Disease.  At least five years practice experience with some leadership track record is also preferred.  High caliber, quality focused, innovative physicians should apply.  Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Location: Winter Park, FL - Specialty: Cardiology, Invasive

Florida Heart Group (website) is looking for a dynamic and energetic invasive (non-interventional) cardiologist to join our team in a new office at Florida Hospital Winter Park (website). That physician would be supported by two of our current physicians in this new location. This cardiologist must be proficient in all forms of diagnostic testing including nuclear and ultrasound modalities, trans esophageal echo and diagnostic cardiac catheterization.  Responsibilities will involve both inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care. Recent graduates and those in their early career stage willing to build a practice will be considered.

Location: Celebration, FL - Specialty: Cardiology, Invasive, Non-Interventional

Florida Hospital Medical Group is looking for two dynamic and energetic invasive/noninvasive (non-interventional) cardiologists to join our team at Florida Hospital Celebration Health (website).    These cardiologists must be proficient in performing nuclear tests and preferably TEE’s.  This employed opportunity would total four cardiologists to start as we launch a new Acute MI/PCI program in 2018 at Celebration Health, led by Dr. Rohit Bhatheja.  Practice in a beautiful location, approximately 30 minutes south of downtown Orlando.  This would be an excellent opportunity to help start and grow a program in a hospital with over 80,000 emergency visits per year and the closest hospital in proximity to Walt Disney World. 

Responsibilities will include both inpatient and outpatient cardiology care. Ideal candidates will have practice building experience.  Recent graduates/early career (within 5 years) willing to build a practice will be considered as well.

Critical Care Specialists and Florida Hospital Medical Group (FHMG) are looking for dynamic physicians to be a part of our critical care team focused in our Cardiovascular ICU.  Physicians will have responsibility at Florida Hospital Orlando to cover the CVICU unit with our Medical Director and physician extender assistance. The patient mix includes heart and lung transplants, mechanical assist devices and general cardiac and thoracic surgery.   Set schedule/shifts, competitive salary/benefits, a collegial cross-coverage team and working within one of the busiest cardiac and thoracic surgical hospitals in the country are just some of the attractive aspects of this opportunity.

Given the candidate’s interests and preference on schedule, the group would also be open to hiring a Nocturnist for the CVICU.  The Nocturnist position would come with a slightly different schedule and overall package.

Florida Hospital Orlando is seeking an experienced, board-certified neuro critical care physician to join our critical care team.  This individual would be based at Florida Hospital’s Orlando location, which is a 1,368-bed tertiary facility, with approximately 160 ICU beds.  Our Neuro Critical Care unit is currently 28 beds, with capacity to increase to 40 beds.  Florida Hospital is continuing to grow its comprehensive and successful 24/7 ICU closed model.

Florida Hospital is continuing to grow its Neuroscience Institute. We are planning for a new Neuro Critical Care Fellowship with an anticipated to launch in 2019.  This fellowship will accept two fellows per year. The ideal candidate is expected to help develop and/or lead this academic program. In addition, the ideal candidate would also be able to lead our efforts in neurocritical care research, care analytics, quality and outcomes. Our Neuroscience Institute program consists of 120 dedicated neurology beds, with 8 dedicated neurosurgical OR suites with an intraoperative 3T MRI and 64 slice CT.

Note: Physicians must be board certified/eligible in the UCNS subspecialty of Neuro Critical Care Medicine. Group is open to Anesthesiology, Pulmonology, Internal Medicine and Neurology.

Florida Hospital Graduate Medical Education in Orlando, Florida is looking for a dynamic, hardworking, and broadly-skilled Family Medicine physician with a passion for teaching. This doctor would serve as one of the key faculty members in an academic role within the Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency Program. He or she would focus on outpatient medicine while teaching our residents and medical students. The physician's duties will include rotating between their own personal clinic and precepting residents in an outpatient setting. Ideal candidate would have experience in private or academic medicine, demonstrate leadership capabilities, strong communication skills, and fit within the mission and vision of Florida Hospital. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred, but not necessary.

This well-established residency program is based at Florida Hospital East Orlando, a 293 bed facility that is part of one of the largest healthcare systems in the country. The Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency at East Orlando is among the most progressive training programs in the osteopathic profession. The foundation for our family medicine internship and residency is derived from the dedication of our faculty, continuity family medicine and pediatric clinics, didactic programs and innovative technology. We teach six new residents each academic year, along with two new residents each year in the family medicine/neuromuscular program, and two fellows in the "Plus One" NMM program. Our main medical school affiliation is with Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

This well-established practice provides care for patients of all ages in the bustling East Orlando community of Waterford Lakes – minutes from shopping, dining and entertainment for the whole family. This is a 100% outpatient practice opportunity with no hospital rounding or ER call.

The ideal candidate will be/have:

  • Active FL medical license (or ability to secure active, unrestricted licensure)
  • Board Certification in Family Medicine
  • 3-5 years of experience is preferred
  • Comfortable with all aspects of Family Medicine, including pediatrics age 4 and up
  • Proficiency with minor office based procedures including, but not limited to: joint injections, minor dermatologic procedures, basic gynecologic care
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all segments of our population, including presenting at health fairs
  • Experience with supervising Advanced Practice Providers (ARNP & PA-C)

Ability to work a set schedule, which may include early morning and/or evening hours to meet PCMH requirements for patient access
