The Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children is seeking two Pediatric Intensivists to join our pediatric intensive care group at Florida Hospital for Children. Our team consists of approximately eight physicians and five advanced practice providers. One position is for general pediatric ICU, and the other position can focus on pediatric cardiac ICU with the ability to perform shifts in the PICU as well.
Responsibilities of the new physicians include: clinical time in our PICU (22 beds) and CICU (10 beds), participation in the provision of the sedation services in our Pediatric Outpatient Center, as well as teaching through our pediatric residency program (just launched in 2013) with six residents per year. We also have clinical research opportunities and an active Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) program. Florida Hospital for Children is partnering with Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC to develop a comprehensive pediatric liver transplant program. This will be the first program of its kind in Orlando, the second in Florida, and is expected to start accepting patients in January 2018.

Requirements of the position:
Clinical expertise and experience in cardiac critical care - for Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist
PICU physician will spend time in the CICU so experience is required
Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Critical Care
Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Fellowship (preferred but not required for Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist)
