Florida Hospital (Orlando, FL) is looking for an experienced Administrative Hospitalist for one of the nation’s busiest hospitals. The ideal candidate will:

  • Have at least 3-5 years’ demonstrated hospitalist group leadership experience

  • Be Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

  • Be able to serve as an influencer with various private practice hospitalist groups, practice group leaders and hospital administration across multiple hospital campuses

  • Have experience leading hospitalists to improve inpatient quality of care and transitions across the care continuum

  • Serve primarily in an administrative leadership capacity approximately 80% of the time

  • Has served in additional medical leadership roles including as a member of a hospital medical executive committee

  • Is currently or previously served as a multi-site Hospitalist Leader

The Medical Director will lead the following areas: 

  • Development and maintenance of physician/group scorecards using quality metrics and core measures established by the health system

  • Aligning standards of care across multiple hospital campuses

  • Facilitate campus led initiatives related to overall improvement of the hospitalist service line and patient experience

  • Work with care management /post-acute care services to ensure there are adequate continuum of care services to ensure effective transitions of care
